- Disable Potentially Interfering Applications
- Remove and Reinstall the VPN Configuration
- Reinstall or Change Installation Method
Disable Potentially Interfering Applications
Some apps running in the background may affect your VPN connection, such as:
VPN or network-related apps
Firewalls or security apps
Battery savers or network optimization tools
Temporarily disable these apps and test your VPN connection.
Remove and Reinstall the VPN Configuration
-
Click the Apple logo in the top-left corner and select System Settings.
-
Open the VPN section in the sidebar. Click the Info (i) button next to the VPN service you want to remove.
-
Select Remove Configuration. Reconnect to a VeePN server to reinstall the VPN configuration.
Reinstall or Change Installation Method
If problems persist, reinstall VeePN. You can also switch the installation method:
App Store version – recommended for most users.
file from VeePN website – use if the Play Store version causes issues or if access is limited in your region.
After reinstalling, connect to a server and allow the VPN configuration to install.
Following these steps should help restore a stable connection on macOS. Keep in mind that connection issues aren’t always caused by your device, as network restrictions, server load, or account-related factors may also affect VPN performance.
