If you lose internet access after connecting to VeePN, follow these steps to restore connectivity:
- Update or Reinstall the App / Extension
- Check Kill Switch
- Reset VPN Configuration
- macOS Connection Tip: DNS Settings
Update or Reinstall the App / Extension
Make sure you are using the latest version of the VeePN app or browser extension. Outdated versions may cause connection issues.
If problems persist, delete and reinstall the app or extension.
Check Kill Switch
If the Kill Switch feature is enabled, it can block all internet traffic when the VPN connection drops. Make sure the Kill Switch is OFF.
Reset VPN Configuration
Resetting the VPN configuration can resolve many connection issues. Follow our platform-specific instructions:
macOS Connection Tip: DNS Settings
On macOS, internet issues after connecting to VeePN may be caused by DNS settings:
Open System Settings → Network
Select your active Wi-Fi connection and click Details
Go to the DNS tab
Remove
10.1.0.1and10.0.0.10Leave the DNS fields empty (macOS will use your ISP’s default DNS automatically)
Click OK → Apply
Restart your Mac (recommended)
