Configuring VeePN on your PlayStation allows you to access geo-restricted content and secure your network traffic. This guide explains the available setup options:
Purchase a VeePN Subscription
A Premium subscription is required to use VeePN on a PlayStation. If you’re not ready to subscribe yet, you can explore our free options, but router or Smart DNS setup is only available with a paid plan.
Install VeePN on Your Router
Configure VeePN on your router to cover all devices connected to your network, including your PlayStation. This ensures all traffic is routed through VeePN.
Setup Smart DNS on Your PS
Log in to your VeePN account on the website.
Go to the Overview tab and scroll to the Smart DNS section. Select PlayStation to get your DNS server details.
On your PlayStation, open System Settings → Network Settings → Set Up Internet Connection.
Choose Use Wi-Fi or Use a LAN Cable, then select Custom.
Set IP Address Settings to Automatic.
Choose Do Not Specify for DHCP Host Name.
Set DNS Settings to Manual and enter the Primary DNS from your VeePN account.
Set MTU Settings to Automatic.
Choose Do Not Use for Proxy Server.
Select Test Internet Connection to apply the new settings.
Restart your PlayStation to complete the setup.
💡 Note: Using Smart DNS allows access to geo-restricted content without encrypting traffic. For full VPN protection, set up VeePN on your router.
