Installing VeePN on your router enhances home network security by protecting all connected devices at once.
When configured on a router, VeePN encrypts all internet traffic passing through your network. This automatically protects every connected device (such as smart TVs, gaming consoles, and other devices) without installing VPN apps individually.
Here’s a guide on how to set it up:
Purchase a VeePN Subscription
A Premium subscription is required to use VeePN on a router. If you’re not ready to subscribe yet, you can explore our free options, but router setup is only available with a paid plan.
Log In To Your Router
Before starting, make sure your router supports VPN pass-through and OpenVPN (OVPN) configuration files.
You can use the router manual or contact your internet service provider for help with router configuration.
Most routers require entering their IP address in a browser’s address bar. Log in using the credentials from the manual or the manufacturer’s website. For security reasons, replace the default username and password with your own.
Configure VPN Settings
Log in to your VeePN account on our website.
Open the Overview tab.
Scroll to the Advanced section and select Router.
Download the OVPN configuration files compatible with your router.
Upload the files to your router’s VPN settings.
(Optional) Generate router login credentials for manual configuration.
Enable the VPN connection and test the connection status to confirm it’s working.
By following these steps, you can maximize the security and privacy benefits of VeePN across all devices in your home network. For any assistance during setup or troubleshooting, please, contact our support team.
