This tutorial will guide you through the steps to install and use the VeePN on Ubuntu. Make sure, you have an active VeePN Subscription. If not, choose a suitable plan.
Application Setup

Generate Configuration Files:

Login to Your Account: Visit our website and log in with your credentials

Navigate to the “Overview” Tab: Once logged in, go to the “Overview” tab

Access the Linux Settings: Scroll down to the Advanced section and click on “Linux”

Download Configuration Files: Download the configuration files. Currently, VeePN supports OVPN files

Generate Login Credentials: At the bottom of the page, you can generate login credentials for further setup

Extract Configuration Files:
- Extract the downloaded zip archive containing the configuration files
- Extract the downloaded zip archive containing the configuration files

Install OpenVPN Network Manager:
- Launch Terminal and install OpenVPN Network Manager on Ubuntu with the command:
sudo apt-get install -y network-manager-openvpn-gnome
- Launch Terminal and install OpenVPN Network Manager on Ubuntu with the command:

Configure OpenVPN:
- Open Network Settings from the System menu
- Click on the "+" button in the VPN section
- Select "Import from file..."
- Locate and select the OpenVPN configuration file downloaded earlier, then click "Open"
- Open Network Settings from the System menu

Add Credentials:
- Enter the username and password generated earlier in your account
- Click "Add" and close the Settings window

Connect to VPN:
- Open the System menu, go to VPN and click on "Connect"
- Once connected, a VPN icon will appear in the system tray
- Open the System menu, go to VPN and click on "Connect"
